We as humans put on many masks so we can “fit in” with society. What happens when we begin to shed the masks and embrace who we truly are? I came across this Judy Garland quote the other day and I thought I would share it here with you lovely yogis and yoginis.
“Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.” Judy Garland
India is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe 2017 will be my year. In the meantime here is a quote to inspire your yoga practice:
“The sun shines down and it’s image reflects in a thousand different pots filled with water. The reflections are many but they are each reflecting the same sun. Similarly, when we come to know who we truly are, we will see ourselves in all people.” Ammachi
Each time we step on our mats or take a seat to meditate we have the wonderful opportunity to set our ego aside, to let down our walls and witness the depths of our souls. When we can be present with our own darkness and our own insecurities we can be more present and more compassionate with those around us.
