I love this Vedantin quote and I completely forgot that I had it saved. I will definitely be sharing this quote in my classes this week. Inner beauty is worth recognizing. What are you sharing with your students, friends, and family this week?
“You find the beauty everywhere you go [if] you carry that beauty within you.” Vedantin
A yoga instructor friend of mine posted this quote to her Facebook wall last week and it immediately struck a cord with me. I can’t believe how long it took me to post. Dream big yogis!
“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
~ Harriet Tubman
Both a blessing and a source of frustration at the same time. This truth sometimes feels like it’s thrown in my face again and again. I will always be a student. There is always more to learn. This world has so much to offer.
“The more you know, the more you know you don’t know.”
Another wonderful quote from Pema Chodron. This quote reminds me of the undoing of knots, the undoing of our granthis, the undoing of our samskaras, and the undoing of that which holds us back.
“Sometimes we find that we like our thoughts so much that we don’t want to let them go.” Pema Chodron
India is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe 2017 will be my year. In the meantime here is a quote to inspire your yoga practice:
“The sun shines down and it’s image reflects in a thousand different pots filled with water. The reflections are many but they are each reflecting the same sun. Similarly, when we come to know who we truly are, we will see ourselves in all people.” Ammachi
Each time we step on our mats or take a seat to meditate we have the wonderful opportunity to set our ego aside, to let down our walls and witness the depths of our souls. When we can be present with our own darkness and our own insecurities we can be more present and more compassionate with those around us.
Love and Light,
