Another wonderful quote from Pema Chodron. This quote reminds me of the undoing of knots, the undoing of our granthis, the undoing of our samskaras, and the undoing of that which holds us back.
“Sometimes we find that we like our thoughts so much that we don’t want to let them go.” Pema Chodron
Paulo Coelho speaking to my heart. Where is a heart emoji when you need one?
“I opened the window and my heart. The sun flooded my house and love flooded my soul.”
India is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe 2017 will be my year. In the meantime here is a quote to inspire your yoga practice:
“The sun shines down and it’s image reflects in a thousand different pots filled with water. The reflections are many but they are each reflecting the same sun. Similarly, when we come to know who we truly are, we will see ourselves in all people.” Ammachi
Each time we step on our mats or take a seat to meditate we have the wonderful opportunity to set our ego aside, to let down our walls and witness the depths of our souls. When we can be present with our own darkness and our own insecurities we can be more present and more compassionate with those around us.

“In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” Buddha
I’ve come across this Buddha quote hundreds, if not thousands of times, and it always speaks to my soul.
And this pic was taken during my husband’s and my honeymoon through Southeast Asia at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center. That place is magical! If you ever find yourself in Malaysian Borneo do check it out.
This Rumi quote came up on my newsfeed this morning and it instantly caught my attention. I know this sounds cliche, but the timing for this quote is perfect…. especially with the new year just around the corner. This week I will be taking a little extra time in meditation and quiet reflection to get clear on my intentions for the upcoming year. How about you?
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” ~Rumi
