A Yoga Teacher Training Designed for Women Who Lead From Within
This 200-Hour Yoga Alliance–approved hybrid yoga teacher training for women blends online study, live mentorship, and an 8-night immersive retreat into a spacious, embodied learning journey.
Created by women, for women, this training is built around:
- how your body learns
- how your nervous system regulates
- and how true leadership actually develops
This is where you learn to teach with clarity and care.
Where your voice becomes steady and authentic.
Where intuition is welcomed — and leadership emerges naturally.
Not by forcing.
But by listening.
Hear from former student, Rosalee:
“The best decision of my life. This work ignited a beautiful spark in me — spiritually, personally, and as a student of yoga. I learned that yoga is so much more than the asanas we see everywhere.”
— Rosalee O.

Yoga was never created for women’s bodies — so we’re rewriting the story.

Here’s the truth (and yes, it’s fact-checked):
Classical yoga asana was developed primarily for young male bodies preparing for long hours of seated meditation.
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), in the way we practice it today, emerged in the early 20th century and was influenced in part by British military-style physical training — not ancient yogic tradition as most of us were taught.
And most popular sequencing today was never designed with female anatomy, hormonal cycles, pregnancy, postpartum, peri-menopause, menopause, chronic stress, or the lived reality of modern women in mind.
So if yoga has ever felt like it wasn’t built for your body —
you’re not imagining it.
And here’s the part that matters most:
Today, nearly 80% of yoga practitioners in the United States are women, according to data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Women are now the heart of modern yoga.
Women practice more.
Women teach more.
Women lead more.
Women heal more.
Yet the foundation of most trainings still reflects a system never built for us.
And that’s exactly why this training exists.
We deserve a yoga education that honors:
- our bodies
- our nervous systems
- our cycles and seasons
- our life stages
- our emotional depth
- and our leadership
Inner Alchemy: Root & Radiance is a conscious rewriting of that story.
This YTT is that training.
Trusted by 700+ women across 40+ retreats and half a dozen yoga teacher trainings since 2014.

This yoga teacher training is for you if you crave…
- A deeper connection to your voice, your wisdom, your intuition
- An intentionally women-centered learning environment where you feel safe, seen, supported
- A style of yoga that honors your cycle, energy, emotions, and life stages
- A hybrid structure that fits real life — no burnout, no overwhelm
- Instruction that’s rooted in science, grounded in anatomy, and alive with feminine flow
- A retreat experience that changes everything
- The confidence to teach your way and create life-changing classes
- A path into teaching retreats, workshops, circles, or full-time yoga
- A supportive sisterhood walking beside you
- This is not a “learn the poses and get a certificate” training.

This is a reclamation of your power.
This is a reclamation of your inner teacher and guide.
This is where women learn to lead.

I did my 200hr yoga teacher training with Autumn and it was just great! Autumn is such a lovely teacher in every aspect. She is so inspiring, she has so much knowledge and she was so welcoming and fun. The yoga teacher training with Ambuja Yoga was one of the best experiences in my life and I am so happy to have chosen it. Autumn was empowering and gave us courage on beginning our journey. We learned so much and the training was so well structured. It was not only practice and not just studying, it was learning for life, it was yoga as a whole. A journey through the body, mind and soul and I got the tools and training to grow and shine and also to teach & inspire others. I am so grateful for the connections I have made with Autumn and Toni and the other students. So many inspiring people and such an empowering experience. Something I will remember and be grateful for all my life and I know I can reach out to Autumn any time. Lots of love and thank you so much Autumn

Autumn Adams, RYT 500, E-RYT 200, PCNYT, YACEP

In 2014, Autumn launched Ambuja Yoga, driven by a dream—to weave her love for yoga, travel, and adventure into a tapestry of intention, courage, and grace for her students. Over the past decade, Autumn has led over 40 transformative retreats empowering women to prioritize themselves and embrace a life brimming with self-love and fulfillment. Each retreat is a magical journey, where attendees depart with a newfound sense of self, purpose, and the ability to imbue their intentions into every facet of their lives.
Autumn’s classes are a delightful blend of her extensive education in dance, Hatha, and Vinyasa Yoga. She crafts dynamic, flowing sessions that gently nudge students to break old habits and explore new boundaries. Her teaching style is light, approachable, and often sprinkled with engaging stories from Hindu mythology or her own life adventures, making each class a unique experience.
What Autumn loves most about yoga is its transformative power—the way it shifts our mindset from “I can’t” to “How can I?” She inspires her students to become conscious creators, urging them to take risks, listen deeply to their bodies, intuition and hearts, and embrace life’s winding path with grace and humor.
She furthered her studies with a 300 hour yoga teacher training with Everett Newell of Zuna Yoga at The Yoga Barn in Bali, Indonesia in 2015. The same year she completed an 85 hour prenatal yoga course with Shana Celnicker-Chong of the Bhaktishop in Portland, Oregon. In 2018, she completed her Level 1 and Level 2 certifications in Thai Yoga Massage at the International Thai Massage Training School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She considers herself a lifelong student and loves nerding out on yoga, anatomy, and living in alignment.
Her retreats have been featured in publications like Insider.com, Shape.com, Zappos.com, Asia Spa, Direct Holiday, and Bend Nest.
Outside of yoga, you can find her chasing down her free spirited little boy, hiking in the mountains, or swimming in the sea.
Are you ready to transform your life? NOW is the time to embark on an adventure of self-discovery and empowerment!
Toni Larson, E-RYT 500

Toni began her yoga journey in 2010, earning her first certification. By 2017, she completed advanced training in Shamanic Therapeutic Yoga. Her classes are a unique blend of alignment, the energy body, and the elements.
Toni is more than a yoga teacher. She’s a Spiritual Mentor, Reiki Practitioner, Retreat Leader, & Teacher Trainer.
When she’s not guiding others, this Oregonian loves riding her mountain bike, hiking, gardening, whipping up delicious food, or reading a book under the trees.
Her heart’s calling is to show you how courageous, strong, and beautiful you truly are. Anything is possible when you soften and embrace your authentic self. Toni proudly calls herself an Earth Keeper, Spiritual Mentor, and Yoga Teacher.
She’ll encourage you to follow your heart and feel your way through this journey. There are no mistakes here—just a call to learn, heal, grow, and live fully alive.

Why Nicaragua
Nicaragua isn’t just a destination on a map for me — it’s a place that shaped who I am as a teacher, a woman, and a leader.
I first traveled here in college, long before I was leading retreats or building a global community of women. I’ve returned again and again over the years — not just as a visitor, but as someone in relationship with the land and the people. I’ve now hosted five retreats here, and every time I come back, the country opens me a little wider.
I’ve traveled through remote riverways by boat, flown to Little Corn Island in the east, and trekked the jungles in the mountainous north. I’ve climbed volcanoes, swum in volcanic craters, sat in cultural exchanges at village schools, made seed jewelry with local women, and helped release baby sea turtles into the ocean at dusk. And through it all, I’ve been received with extraordinary warmth, generosity, and welcome.
And then there’s San Juan del Sur — a place I’ve fallen deeply in love with. It holds a rare balance of wild beauty and grounded community. Ocean, jungle, dirt roads, yoga decks, and sunsets that rearrange your internal compass.
Nicaragua is not polished.
It’s not curated.
It’s not trying to impress you.
It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is.
It’s elemental. Honest. Powerful. And profoundly humbling.
This is why it’s the perfect place to begin a teacher training rooted in Inner Alchemy, nervous-system mastery, self-trust, and leadership. This land doesn’t invite you to escape your life — it invites you to enter it more fully. To listen. To steady yourself. To meet what’s real. To remember who you are when there’s nothing to prove.
We’re not choosing Nicaragua for luxury.
We’re choosing it for initiation.
Online Yoga Teacher Training FAQ
My schedule is pretty busy. How many hours will I need to dedicate to yoga teacher training each week?
You should plan on dedicating between eight and fifteen hours of yoga teacher training work per week. This hourly estimate includes: live calls, online video lectures and tutorials, reading and writing assignments, other homework assignments, practice teaching and yoga practice.
What if I can’t make all of the live calls?
All of the live classes are recorded and uploaded to the teacher training portal, so you can watch any of the classes you miss. To receive your certificate you are required to attend at least 80% of the live calls, which means you can miss the other 20%, or approximately 8 hours, which breaks down to about 3-4 calls. Of course, you’re encouraged to attend all of the calls, but I totally understand that life happens.
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes, of course! A $1000 deposit reserves your spot in the hybrid yoga teacher training course. If you would like to be on a payment plan, we offer 7, 12, and 18 month payment plans.
What’s required to graduate?
Completion of all modules, assigned homework, group participation, and attendance at 80% of the live calls within 18 months of course start date.
I’m worried about feeling isolated or going through this training alone. How can I connect with others?
You will have plenty of opportunities to connect with other trainees and your teacher! We connect via live calls, chatting in our exclusive Facebook group, one-to-one coaching, small group activities, and accountability partners. We’ve got you covered! It is super important to me that all of my students feel a sense of community and support!
Is this training Yoga Alliance registered?
The Ambuja Yoga School is a registered yoga school with the Yoga Alliance. It is important to note, that this yoga teacher training exceeds the Yoga Alliance curriculum.
I already have a 200 hour certification, but this training is calling to me. Can I still join?
Absolutely. We love having students in YTT who have already completed another course. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and lean into a different way of teaching and guiding.
Will I receive feedback on my teaching and progress?
Absolutely. Constructive feedback, or what we like to call “Glows and Grows”, is a cornerstone of this teacher training. We want you to come out of this training feeling like you are a kick-ass yoga teacher with a rockin’ personal practice! Feedback is given during live calls, in the Facebook group, and during our in-person immersions. Feedback is also given on homework and written assignments.
Is this yoga teacher training based in science or is it all “woo”?
This YTT merges the scientific with the spiritual through a feminine lens. We discuss the scientific benefits of a yoga practice, from the poses to meditation, pranayama, and even diet and sleep. On the other hand, there is no way to deny that yoga can provide a deep transformation at the spiritual level, so we jump right into yoga philosophy, the subtle body, and so much more.
What if I can’t get all of the online course material completed by our last call?
You have eighteen months from our first call to complete your course material and receive your teaching certificate and you have access to the course materials for as long as we’re offering YTTs (and yes, that includes updated course material). We genuinely want you to succeed. If you need support or assistance, please reach out. As one of my teachers says, “Reach out before you tweak out.”
