1-to-1 yoga instruction in Bend, Oregon with Autumn Adams

You keep meaning to try yoga.

Maybe you tried a class and felt like everyone already knew what they were doing. Maybe your back hurts in a way that makes you nervous to even start. Maybe your week is so full that one more thing on the calendar feels impossible.

Private yoga takes all of that off the table. No keeping up. No back row. No pretending you’re not tired. Just yoga that starts exactly where you are — and moves at your pace.

And here’s the part most people don’t expect: it’s not only about unknotting your shoulders. It’s about feeling strong in your body again. Steadier in your head. A little more like yourself.

Private Yoga is for You if:

  • Your mind feels cluttered and overwhelmed with stress and anxiety
  • You’ve wanted to start yoga for years but keep talking yourself out of it
  • Group classes move too fast, or never quite fit your body
  • The idea of walking into a studio full of strangers makes you want to bail
  • An old injury or chronic pain makes you nervous to just “show up” somewhere
  • You’re rebuilding strength after pregnancy, surgery, illness, or a long pause
  • Your schedule won’t bend around a studio timetable
  • You’ve tried yoga before and it didn’t click — and you suspect it was the setting, not you
  • You want someone watching your alignment, not a room of thirty people
  • You’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix
  • You want to feel strong and capable in your body again — not just less sore
  • You’d rather practice in your living room than a mirrored studio
  • You’re ready to do something for yourself

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone – and there’s a better way.

What Makes Private Yoga Different

In a group class, the sequence is built for the average of everyone in the room. You are not average. You have your own body, your own history, your own goals — and an hour built around all of it does more in three sessions than months of trying to keep up in the back.

Built for your body — every session designed around how you actually move that day

Meets you where you are — total beginner or deepening a long practice

Real attention — alignment cues for you, not for a room

Works around your life — early mornings, nap time, between meetings, evenings

Honest about pain — gentle, informed support for injuries and chronic pain

Strength and calm — not one or the other

Stress Relief — Learn techniques to relieve stress and reclaim your energy

What You'll Experience with Private Yoga

  • A practice that actually fits your body — and that you’ll want to come back to
  • Tools for the hard days: breath, stillness, a way to come back to yourself
  • More strength and ease in how you move
  • A clearer head — the kind that lasts past the session
  • The quiet confidence of doing something just for you

What a Private Yoga Session Looks Like

We start with a quick check-in on how you’re actually feeling that day — because some days you need to move, and some days you need to rest. From there:

  • A yoga sequence built for your body and your goals
  • Breathwork and a little meditation to quiet the noise
  • Often a Yoga Nidra — guided rest that feels like the best nap you’ve had in months
  • Alignment guidance so everything is safe and works for you

You leave with session notes and a simple plan, so the practice keeps going between our sessions.

Imagine This

Picture moving through your day without that low hum of tension in your shoulders. Picture having something that’s just yours — sixty minutes where no one needs anything from you. Picture feeling strong in your body again, steadier in your head, and a little more like the version of you you’ve been missing.

That’s what a consistent practice, built around you, actually does. Not in a weekend. But sooner than you’d think.

Meet Autumn

I’m Autumn Adams, founder of Ambuja Yoga.

Thirteen years teaching. 40+ retreats led. 700+ women on the mat. I’m an E-RYT 500 and YACEP-certified teacher and a certified prenatal yoga teacher, I wrote The Little Book of Mudra Meditations, and my work has been featured in Insider, Shape, Zappos, and Asia Spa.

I teach with the science underneath — nervous system regulation, alignment, real anatomy — not magical thinking. And I’m a mom, so I understand exactly how hard it is to carve out time for yourself.

Private sessions are where I get to meet you right where you are. No keeping up. No pretending you’re not tired. Just yoga that’s genuinely built for you.

You Might Be Thinking...

“I’m not flexible enough for yoga.” That’s the most common thing I hear — and it’s backwards. You don’t get flexible and then start yoga. We begin exactly where your body is today, and the flexibility comes along the way.

“I don’t have time.” Sessions are scheduled around your life — early mornings, nap time, between meetings, evenings. And they come to you, so there’s no driving across town.

“I’ve tried yoga before and it didn’t click.” A group class can’t adjust to your body. A private session is built entirely around it. Most people who think they “don’t like yoga” just never did it in a setting made for them.

“Is it worth the cost?” Only you can answer that. What I can tell you is what you’re paying for: real, focused attention on your body, your pace, and your goals — not a spot in a crowded room.
