You also have the opportunity to add on spa treatments like: Thai Yoga Massage or Deep Tissue Massage OR excursions like: a walking trip to Homer’s School, kayak rentals, or scuba diving.

filled with adventure, filled with discovery.”

Yoga at Itha108 with Autumn Adams
International yoga instructor Autumn Adams seamlessly blends her education in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga into dynamic, flowing classes that gently challenge her students to break old habits and move beyond perceived limitations. Autumn’s skilled hands-on adjustments will help you find your perfect alignment.
Autumn will be teaching a fun all-levels energizing vinyasa flow every morning that will conclude with a sweet Savasana or yoga nidra.
Each evening yoga class will be a deeply restorative class that blends elements of both restorative yoga and yin yoga. Autumn may also include Marma Point Self Massage in the evening classes or asana workshop if needed. Our evening restorative class will always include bolster supported heart opening postures, hip openers, gentle twists and stretches for the hamstrings, neck and shoulders. These quiet, contemplative classes are designed to balance and restore the body, mind, and spirit. Autumn will finish evening class with a guided meditation or yoga nidra.
Autumn will be available for private yoga lessons throughout the week ($65/hr).
The Island of Ithaca
We will be calling the beautiful island of Ithaca home during our 8 day yoga retreat in Greece. The island of Ithaca is located northeast of the island of Kefalonia and west of mainland Greece in the Ionian Sea. You may have heard of Ithaca before in Homer’s The Odyssey. The island of Ithaca, also spelled Ithaka, is known as the home of the mythological hero Odysseus. Homer’s School is also located on Ithaca.
The island is dotted with quaint villages serving local and international dishes and beautiful beaches with sapphire blue water. The island of Ithaca is perfect for those looking to explore by foot, boat, or taxi. A 17 mile mountain range is available for exploring by foot or mountain bike and if the sea is calling you, local scuba diving and sea kayaking may also be arranged.
Ithaca is one of the last “off the beaten path” destinations amongst the Greek Islands. The island is characterized by the warmth of it’s people, seaside villages, and delicious food. We can’t wait to help you explore.

1. Are tips and gratuities included?
Ambuja Yoga is covering basic gratuity for retreat lodging and meals. If you feel like your massage therapists (tip not necessarily expected), hotel staff (1 Euro/day), tour guides for scuba diving/snorkeling (2-10 Euros/pp), transportation (10-15% for taxis), beach trips etc. did an excellent job a tip is always greatly appreciated.
When dining out it is appropriate to round your bill up ex. your dinner bill is 18 Euros, so you’d round up to 20 Euros, a 10-15% tip is sufficient. Also, when dining out you may see things like a VAT tax on your bill (13% at time of research), a service charge for bread and water (1 Euro), some restaurants will automatically round up your bill (so pay attention), and some restaurants don’t allow their servers to keep the gratuity, so you may want to ask your server.
2. Do I need a power adapter?
If you’re coming from the US or Canada you will definitely want an adapter and possibly a voltage converter or step-down transformer. You can find these easily online and many box stores. These are the types of outlets you may come across in Greece:
- “Type C” European CEE 7/16 Europlug
- “Type E/F” European CEE 7/4 or CEE 7/5 Schuko
- “Type D” Indian BS-546 (5 amp “small” version)
3. Do I need to bring yoga props?
Mats, blocks, bolsters and straps are available for your use. I do suggest that you bring your own yoga mat (or mat towel) for hygienic purposes.
4. Is Greece safe for travel?
This has been a big question lately and people on the ground in Greece are saying yes. Travel is safe. Read my blog post here for more information.
5. What is the weather in Greece like in June and July?
June is the beginning of Greek summer, the rains have tapered off and both the air and the sea temps begin to rise. The average temperature for this time of year is 24°C (75.2°F), with high temperatures of 27°C (80.6°F) and lows of 16°C (60.8°F). The sea temperature also rises to about 23°C.
6. Is there wifi and/or cell service at Itha108?
Yes there is both internet/wifi and cell service at Itha108. You may like to inform your provider before departing for the retreat. You’re encouraged to step away from your wifi device as much as possible.
7. What should I bring for money?
Bring multiple forms of payment. I recommend bringing cash, credit and debit. Before departing on retreat be sure to inform your banking institutions of your travels.
